Interests: Hello! My name is Shawna, and I am a passionate ESL teacher with a diverse range of experiences. With over four years of teaching English as a Second Language (ESL), I have had the opportunity to guide and support students from various backgrounds and proficiency levels in their language learning journey.

In addition to my teaching expertise, I bring valuable management experience from my previous role at a startup. This experience has allowed me to develop strong organizational and leadership skills, enabling me to create engaging and effective learning environments for my students.

Beyond the classroom, I have a deep love for travel and culture. I believe that language learning is not only about grammar and vocabulary but also about embracing different perspectives and understanding diverse cultures. My own experiences exploring different countries and immersing myself in various cultural settings have greatly influenced my teaching style. I strive to foster a global mindset and intercultural understanding among my students.

At home, I have a delightful companion named Lucy. Lucy is my 5-pound furry friend who brightens up my life with her playful antics. She often accompanies me on my travels, and her presence adds an extra touch of warmth and joy to my teaching environment.

I am dedicated to providing an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere where students feel empowered to express themselves and reach their full potential.
