Interests: My journey to teaching and tutoring ESL began with one-on-one conversations with university international students. After earning my Master's degree in teaching ESL (M.S.Ed.) with a focus on adults, I have taught classrooms, small groups, and tutored one-on-one in both community and academic settings. I have also helped to run an ESL conversation group at a local library and volunteered as a teacher and tutor with county literacy council. My students have been beginners through advanced.

I love to learn about a place and its language before I go—I've visited France, Greece, and Turkey. Recently I traveled to Hawai'i for a family wedding. I have a long list already, but I'd love to hear where you think I should head next!

Things that make me smile: Languages & linguistics, crafting, animals, cities that welcome refugees, good books, good translations, creative vegetarian food :)
