Profession: Founder/Director of Makers United
Interests: You'd probably like to know that English is actually my second language! I grew up in Latin America, but moved to New York when I was young. Since then, I've lived in various cities and countries around the world. I love to experience different cultures through language, friendships, and food.
I am an artist and English gave me a way to express myself through poetry, short-story writing, and calligraphy. You can also find me behind a camera taking photos, cooking food from around the world, watercolor painting, and reading.
If I could spend a "perfect day" it would be first sleeping in, followed by a delicious breakfast probably involving coffee and croissants! I'd spend the day with my family outdoors, maybe hiking or discovering something new about our town. Then in the evening, I'd love to catch up with friends at a coffee shop or stay at home reading and writing or working on a new art project.
I've taken all of my teaching knowledge and creative knowledge and combined it into opening an Art School called Makers United. Makers United is my passion project that helps youth in our community be more involved in the Arts!
Education: Associate Degree in Creative Writing from Wheaton College, MA, Certification in Song Writing for Bethel University.
