Profession: An experienced teacher at Further and Higher (University) level. I have also worked in business and been self-employed.

I worked as a counsellor and moved on to teaching counselling skills. I also worked as a careers (vocational) adviser, helping students with university entrance. I ran my own bookshop and have done other jobs in sales and logistics.

Interests: I am travelling around the world, very slowly. So far, I have mainly been to countries in Europe and South America. Currently, (at February 2025) in Spain. Some years ago, I worked as a counsellor and still have an interest in psychology and self-help. I like stand up comedy. I am trying to learn Spanish as well as languages for the countries I am visiting next. Other hobbies are classical music, art, a wide range of books, (including Shakespeare, Aldous Huxley, Tolkien and Harry Potter) tarot, walking and the natural world, bird watching and trees! I have a northern English accent and attempt to speak slowly and clearly.
