Interests: I grew up in an American home that is both musical and bilingual. So, no matter where in the world I am, I'm almost always near a guitar or a piano.
My life has always been an adventure! In addition to my work as an English teacher, I've worked as a welder, as a sailor on the Behring Sea, as a writer, a personal trainer/nutritionist, and even been a professional fighter! My goal is to go everywhere, meet everyone, and try everything at least once. So, wherever I am, I like to immerse myself in the culture and the language. I'm currently living in Brazil, training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. My Portuguese still sounds kind of funny, but I'm learning!
I’ve also lived in Thailand, Vietnam, and New Zealand. As well as shorter stays in the countries of Singapore and Georgia. It has been my greatest privilege to meet people from every part of the globe and gain an understanding of how the they see the world.

Last year I became certified as a personal trainer and nutritionist, under the International Sports Science Association. Since then, in addition to my teaching roles, I have been working with private clients in the fitness industry.
