Intérêts: Though my training is in the social sciences, I am a lover of nature. I like to be outdoors gardening, exercising, kayaking, biking, hiking and just observing! I love plants and have become a bit of a lay expert in the native plants of the American Midwest. I am a birdwatcher and informal "student" of animals and animal behavior. I also love studying human evolution, early human societies, and history.
