In the United States, I taught English at the Hispanic Language Institute for adults, as well as at three public schools for Hispanic children of varying levels. I also taught English as a Second Language to adults at a bilingual cathedral.

In Cozumel, Mexico, I developed my own materials and taught the employees of a five-star hotel. I also taught four levels of English at a bilingual language school for adults and teenagers.

Interests: I was born in Brooklyn, New York. My dear father was a teacher and later a social worker. My brilliant mother has been a teacher for five decades. From New York we moved to London, England, where my father taught. We lived in other places too, but my childhood was spent primarily in a small rural town in Michigan.
My family has always been committed to working toward peace and justice issues around the world.

I am married to a man from Veracruz, Mexico, and am the mother of three wonderfully talented sons. My eldest son is married and has a beautiful child. My hobbies include dancing, biking, swimming, and bird watching. I love adventure!

I received the Advanced Certification from the American TESOL Institute, which certifies me to teach English to speakers of all other languages, ages, and backgrounds.

I graduated from Aquinas College in Michigan with a four year Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Language / Hispanic Culture. Before graduating, I attended a language school in Cuernavaca, Mexico.
