I was an EFL teacher for a trilingual school in Thailand for one semester. I taught grades 10, 11, and 12 in English for communication, vocabulary, grammar, business (TOEIC) and academics. I also designed the semester curricula, exams, and lessons.

Au Pair

I was an Au Pair in Germany for one year. I lived with a family and worked with their kids, ages 10 and 15. I immersed them in English in everyday life, supported them with homework, and mentored them.

I was an intern for an after-school children's program in the US for 1.5 years. I tutored children ages 7-11 in reading, writing, and math. I also coordinated the other volunteers, helped plan lessons, and supported the program leaders.

Interests: I am from Chicago, USA. I have lived in Thailand, Germany, the UK, and now, the Netherlands. I understand the challenges of learning another language and being in a foreign country because I have lived in four foreign countries myself. My interests are: traveling, learning about cultures, cooking (and eating), home design, world news and politics, research / statistics, psychology, biology, nature, animals, dinosaurs, outer space, watching Youtube and Tik Tok videos, and watching K-dramas. I am not very good at singing, and I cannot play an instrument; however, I danced for 15 years, and I was a rhythmic gymnast for 10 years.
