I worked as a volunteer in a primary school whilst studying for my Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification. I worked with my own group of children, guided by the class tutor to help these children who had some learning and behavioral difficulties.

I have almost 2 years experience teaching children the English language. My students have been from all over the world, and I love meeting new faces!

I have experience keeping the internet safe for both kids and adults, by rating content suitable or otherwise.

I am very enthusiastic to be able to transfer not only my English skills into helping you, but also the many other communication and listening skills I am learning on my current counselling course too.
Ifeel that listening skills are equally important as talking and social skills in helping other people to learn new things, it is not just about me talking.
I also feel that my work with adults with learning needs has given me many other transferable skills too, as I have helped support them in all areas of their lives, including with speech!
I currently work in a nursery where I do catering/cooking, but I need to communicate with the children too, and they have trouble saying what is on their minds because they are so young, and their language is still growing.

Previously I also worked in a primary school serving the children their lunches, so again, I was communicating and making them feel safe, welcomed and relaxed.
So, I feel I have many experiences in my life which will make me a great tutor who can assist you with your desire to learn and improve upon your English language skills.

I have an Honors Degree in Environmental Studies and finished it with a module in Sociology. Studying this degree gave me knowledge and awareness of the environmental issues faced around the globe to people, creatures and the planet.

Advanced Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling

This Level 3 course provided me of further knowledge of counselling skills, and also developed my knowledge of the different theories involved. I have learnt how important a Person-Centered Approach is in helping people talk about their issues.

Teaching Assistant NVQ 2
Education
During this course, I learnt many skills about teaching in a classroom, and also how some people struggle with the basics when they have learning difficulties. I feel this knowledge will help with my tutor work also.
