Profession: English as a second language teacher
English Language Instruction
One year as a volunteer with the Learning Source, a part of Front Range Community College in Colorado. I taught in various classes from very beginner, level 4 and level 6 classrooms. Classes were both in-person and on a Zoom platform.
Interests: I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Laboratory Technology and worked as a Medical Technologist. When our children were born, I chose to stay home and teach them. Reading was a weak subject in our family. Through teaching our children reading and other subjects, I developed a love of teaching. I have a TESL certificate and hope to continue teaching students English in the future. This past year I volunteered in Adult ESL classes at a local community college to gain experience as a classroom teacher. The classes were both in-person and on a Zoom platform. In addition to general English, I have an interest in teaching medical terminology to student wishing to work in the health care profession.
