I taught yoga and yoga teacher trainings for about 7 years. My specialty was teaching SUP (Stand Up Paddle board) Yoga teacher trainings.

Scuba Diving Instructor / Instructor Trainer
Education
For 5 years, I taught a scuba diving instructor program at a private college in Western Canada. My students and I trained in British Columbia and Grand Cayman, where we spent over 50 hours underwater!
I was also a commercial diver.

Podcast Host

I began a podcast last year, with one complete season so far. It's a podcast where I chat with folks about their stories of difficulties in life and how they overcame them. It has been such an honour and so much fun to learn to produce a podcast!

Interests: I have lived in Canada my whole life, but love travelling! I have worked as a scuba diving instructor and yoga teacher, which has taken me all over the world. My husband is from the Netherlands, and I have always had friends from all over the world. Because of this, I have been an unofficial English teacher to many in my life for years. I also speak a tiny bit of Dutch and am continuing to learn!

We will be moving to Portugal in about six months, where we look forward to buying a sailboat and doing a lot of exploring through the Mediterranean - all while continuing to teach English online!

I have developed confident public speaking and writing skills (in English) through running my own business, teaching a lot, creating a podcast, and even competing in public speaking contests.

A diploma program for teaching yoga. I have taken many advanced teaching courses since my initial certification, including yoga for mental health.

Education
I will be completing my TEFL certification at the end of January, 2022.
