I worked as an elementary school teacher for 15 years. I taught kindergarten for 3 years and have spent 12 years teaching third grade. I was responsible to teach all subject areas and care for the learning needs of, on average, 25-30 students.

Interests: I am a teacher who enjoys having adventures and exploring new places. I especially appreciate experiencing that through traveling and learning about new cultures. I have been to several countries around the world and I can’t wait to get to more! The beauty of the natural world calms and intrigues me. I love to be at the beach, go hiking, and nurture my plants. I am an active person who enjoys exercise and dancing, especially Latin dancing. I love to try new recipes and sample food from all over the world, so I enjoy cooking and eating! I have been a teacher for 15 years. Most of those years were spent in the classroom, in person, teaching all subject areas. I have gained experience teaching online as classes shifted to remote learning. I am currently learning a new language, Hindi, so I understand the time and effort involved in reaching that goal. I also recognize the value of having a teacher to help me with pronunciation, grammar, expressions, sentence structure, and being able to answer my questions. I am here to help you! I was the valedictorian of my graduating class. I received classroom management and education training. I also worked as a student teacher in different classroom settings.

TESOL 120 Hour Advanced Certificate
Education
I was trained in TESOL methodologies through 120 hours of teacher training. I also needed to submit videos of my teaching using these methods.
