I taught as a class teacher at a school in The Bahamas for three years. During these years, I taught in both Years 4 and 5.

Maths Lead Teacher

During my time working in The Bahamas, I was the Maths lead teacher for Years 1-6. This role included supporting other members of staff in the planning and teaching of Maths, organising whole school Maths activity days and more.

I worked as a class teacher in England for 2 years in Years 6 and 4.

Tutoring
Education
I have completed various tutoring jobs. These include teaching children English while living in Italy, teaching adults English and Spanish as well as teaching children Italian (all in The Bahamas).

兴趣: I consider myself an adaptable and flexible person and I have taught in a number of countries and with both adults and children of various ages, situations, and have taught a variety of languages.

My background in languages often helps me identify misconceptions that a learner may have, and to address these promptly. As a language learner myself, I know the struggles that a learner may face including understanding grammar, struggling with confidence speaking a language, difficulty listening...(the list goes on!) This means that I bring empathy and experience to the situation, understanding the role of both the teacher and the learner.

I completed a PGCE through The University of Exeter (UK) and Teach First (graduate scheme) in 2016-2017. I received 'outstanding' in observations from my mentor.

Modern Foreign Languages (BA)
Education
I completed my degree at The University of Exeter. I studied French, Spanish, Italian and received a 2:1 degree, with a distinction in spoken Italian. This degree included a year studying in Emilia-Romagna, Italy.

A Levels
Education
I completed my A Levels in French, Spanish, English Literature and Classical Civilisation. I received grade A for all subjects.
