興趣: Hi! My name is Adrien Leduc and I was born and raised in Canada! More specifically, Saskatchewan, Canada, which is one of Canada's prairie provinces and which isn't a place many people outside Canada might have heard of. Have you heard of "Saskatchewan"? And, more importantly, can you pronounce it? :)

As far as my English teaching experience goes, I have fairly extensive experience teaching English at all levels and to all ages. I have taught Korean and Chinese school children. I have taught Spanish-speaking white collar workers and business professionals. I have taught Turkish tour guides. Whenever I travel, which is fairly often, I make time to speak with the locals of whichever country I'm visiting and give them the opportunity to practice their English with me. I find this type of cultural and linguistic exchange very fulfilling and very important in today's globalized world. I myself speak two other languages, in addition to English, with a pretty good degree of competency (French and Turkish) and I'm constantly working on learning other languages (Arabic, Spanish, Mandarin). Learning languages has made me a better teacher of the English language because I understand what students need and how to frame lessons in a way that makes sense to them, based on their native language.

As far as my university and college-level training and education, I have a Bachelor's Degree in History from Carleton University in Ottawa, a 2 Year diploma in Accounting from Algonquin College and I'm currently working on my Education Assistant certificate which I expect to obtain in 2024. I hope to pursue a Master's degree someday, perhaps in a country outside Canada.

As for my personal life, I am a proud husband and father to two beautiful children who I adore very much. Having children has made me appreciate the small things in life and made me more understanding of different perspectives. I believe that this too has made me a better English teacher. My favorite sport is soccer (football) and in my spare time (which doesn't amount to much with two young children!), I enjoy reading and writing and, of course, language learning.
