I began my career working in a small office and later became freelance.

I am also a performing and recording musician. My main instrument is drums and percussion. I have toured nationally in the USA and have been featured on a number of studio recordings. I've even had a bit of success in Asia too!

兴趣: I always credit my mother for being my first and largest inspiration as a teacher. She was a highly creative and influential instructor for both kindergarten /1st grade and a variety of elective courses for community college students.
I think I have done well to follow in her footsteps and that I am a natural teacher because of her influence.
I'm comfortable working with all ages and all levels of English.
In the past, I have worked with a wide variety of students from toddlers learning their ABCs to professional doctors who want to give better lectures in English.
At university, I was a jazz music major with a minor in English. Since 1999, I have taught music, English, arts and crafts, cultural studies, sports and games, outdoor skills, massage techniques among other topics in settings ranging from schools, summer camps, on-line tutoring and special events.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music Degree, two TEFL/TESOL certificates and one TEYL/TEFL-YL certificate. Currently I am pursuing a certificate for the Cambridge English program.
I also enjoy camping, hiking and any activity that involves nature and the outdoors!

I graduated from Miller-Motte Technical college in Cary, North Carolina in 2006 and completed my certification requirements to be a nationally licensed massage therapist in the US.

Although I didn't complete my degree, I attended this university for 2.5 years while studying jazz, music performance with a minor in English.
I didn't complete the degree because I was hired by a major jazz orchestra at the time and went on tour.
