I taught lessons to children aged 5-12 in schools in Lille, France. I used a variety of games, songs and controlled practice. I taught a class of neurodiverse children tailoring the class to their specific needs. Helped on a 5day exchange camp trip.

Intérêts: I am a Cambridge Accredited CELTA qualified teacher from London, with a passion for education, language and culture.

Whilst at university in Leeds studying French and Italian, I was able to spend 18 months living in France and Italy. This was an amazing experience, not only to work on my language skills, but to immerse myself in a totally new culture.

As for my work experience, I have taught English to children in France as well as adults and refugees in the UK. In addition, I have studied counselling and psychotherapy, worked in a start-up in London and co-hosted a feminist radio show.

Further interests include cooking, travelling, music, cinema, politics, roller blading and holistic therapies!

Éducation: May 2022: CELTA Training at International House - London

4 week intensive CELTA training face-to-face, consisting of 4 written assignments and a total of 6 hours assessed teaching.
Taught Intermediate and Beginner classes of 8-14 students, largely from a refugee background, in a multilingual class.

January 2020 – November 2020: London Foundation Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

120-hours-taught foundation course in counselling and psychotherapy, covering a range of therapeutic approaches, including Gestalt therapy, CBT and person centred therapy.
Additional training surrounding ethics, cultural and minority sensitivity.

September 2014 – September 2018: University of Leeds BA (Hons) French and Italian 2:1.
Education
I studied French and Italian, learning Italian from scratch. The course included 1 semester in France and 12 month in Italy. I studied modules such as Surrealism, Linguistics, Translation, Slam Poetry and Crime Fiction as well as Language.
