職業: Forest Pathologist, Missouri Department of Conservation (2017-2021)
Environment, Education, Research, Teaching
During my time with this branch of state government, I was a leader of the Forest Health Program. Among my favorite duties was to develop and deliver educational presentations and trainings, create educational tools, and conduct outreach activities.
興趣: I am from St. Louis, Missouri, located in the heart of the United States. As a child, my father's medical career in the U.S. military moved my family to many different states across the country, including Texas, Colorado, Idaho, Maryland, and finally Missouri. Through these experiences, I developed a neutral American accent with minimal regional dialect, as well as a unique perspective on the English language across the United States.
As an adult, I learned Portuguese with my Brazilian partner before moving with him to Campinas in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. There, I taught private English classes to Brazilians and discovered my passion for teaching.
學歷: Master's Degree in Entomology (2017); Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences, minor in Business (2015)
Environment, Research, Education, Agriculture
After completing my bachelor's degree, I went on to obtain my master's in entomology, where I researched a species of wood-boring beetle and worked as a teaching assistant. It was during this time that I first discovered my love of teaching.
