İlgi Alanları: I know what it’s like to learn another language and to live in places where my native language (English) was not the primary language. I grew up and then lived and worked in the Philippines and later lived and worked in Malaysia with Vietnamese refugees. I currently work in partnership with professionals in Zambia and Haiti, and have traveled to over 30 countries. Finally, I’ve lived and worked with immigrant/refugee groups from countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia, El Salvador, Ethiopia, and Eritrea living here in the U.S. My personal and professional experience give me unique qualifications to be your tutor.

My students tell me that one of the things they love about me as a teacher is because they KNOW I really care about THEM, not just their English lessons. I want to know my students, to love them, to show them that I care about all their lives.

Finally, because I have lived and worked with so many different cultures and language groups, I speak and hear what I call "International English". Many students have told me over the years that I am an English speaker who is really easy to understand.
