I was picked to join the Sainsbury's graduate recruitment programme and trained to be the DIY manager at Solihull store which at the time was the largest Homebase DIY department in the Midlands. I assisted customers daily.

My job was to assist with getting stock into the store on a tight schedule when new stores were being opened. I would coordinate with buyers and merchandisers at Homebase Head Office and major DIY suppliers.

I joined West Midlands Police in 1999 and trained for 2 years to become a Police Officer. My work involved talking to many people daily, being tolerant and understanding.

Tutor Constable
Training and Development
During my time at West Midlands Police I became a tutor constable. This involved working closely with the probationary constables coming from training school. My roll was to teach them the job in the field, how to deal with public and paperwork!

Small Business Owner

Since settling in India, I have run a small hospitality business specialising in housekeeping and maintenance of holiday homes here in the state. It keeps me busy, however I am now enjoying being super busy now that I also have Cambly!

الاهتمامات: Sport and exercise is my main passion. I spent my childhood in the gymnastics hall, running, jumping, somersaulting, swinging, twisting...that love of sport never really leaves you. I gained a degree in Leisure Management/Sport and Exercise Science from Salford College and Liverpool JM University. I love to stay fit these days by doing Yoga, Swimming, weights and bobbing up and down on my elliptical trainer. I am super helpful and will spend time listening and being patient with any student. I moved from England to Goa (India) in 2003 and have a full time home here. It is a nice and safe place to live. I also have a teenage son. I speak very basic Hindi, really a small amount but I get by! We get the benefits of great weather for 9 months of the year. I look after two dogs, one German Shepherd and one chocolate Labrador. There are also two cats to add to that mix. I am a thinker and a planner so that makes me very organised and want to create a personal experience for each student. I have quite a neutral British accent, I am therefore easy to understand. I love my peppermint tea or coffee, it will be great to sit and chat over a cup.

I studied at Salford College to graduate in Leisure Management. We had to organise practical leisure experiences for the public as part of the course.

BSc Sport and Exercise Science

This BSc was taken at Liverpool JM University. We studied sport nutrition and the science behind sports performance.

Tutor Constable Course
Education
This course taught me how to teach new Police recruits. For this you needed super quick thinking and lots of patience. Encouragement and praise nurtured confidence.

TEFL English Teaching Course
English Language Instruction
Completed a 150 hour online TEFL course for teaching English in March 2023.
