I have taught English and History to Chinese students, both in university and grade school.

兴趣: I have taught in China on three separate occasions, once in Beijing (Changping), and twice in Henan province (Xinzheng and Zhengzhou). My methods of teaching have evolved to fit the particular groups of students I have taught, but I generally expect an active learning style from all my students. I do not believe in my students relying on passive learning, because all language learners need to use the language they are learning instead of just sitting and listening. Reading, writing, speaking, and listening are all part of language acquisition, which is what each English learner should strive to achieve.

I have a B.S. degree in History Education with an English minor (which includes teaching ESL and academic English), and an M.S. degree in Educational Leadership.
