Tutors with Spicus teach Korean students English by following lesson plans and occasionally creating conversations and activities to help the students with their speaking skills. Tutors are also expected to fill out daily and monthly reports.

Being a missionary includes teaching others and providing service whenever given the chance. Serving my mission in Brazil also provided me the opportunity to teach English in classes with up to 80 participants.

English Tutor: New Mexico Military Instatute (NMMI)

This position had me teach at a summer camp for a few weeks to a group of high school students to help them enter NMMI. This included practicing conversations, helping with homework, and creating various English-speaking activities.

Interests: Most of my life I grew up in a small town in the United States. Currently, I am living in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. I love learning about new cultures and languages. Living in Brazil has helped me learn how to speak Portuguese.

Some of the things I enjoy are going to the gym, watching movies, and spending time with my wonderful family. Whenever I have the chance, I also like to try new restaurants and go on new adventures.

Working towards my degree has helped me to understand the foundations of communications and the importance of interpersonal communications. I also learned how to present myself in front of a variety of audiences.
