Profession: Adjunct Professor
Education
Instructor of undergraduate-level course: I designed the syllabus, lectures, and laboratory exercises, and used assignments, exams, and in-class methods to give feedback and assess the students' understanding and progress.
Criminalist
Government
Analyst at a forensic laboratory for 6 years. In addition to examination of forensic evidence, I was frequently involved in training: designing training programs, assessments, and personally training fellow analysts.
Wine Professional
Hospitality and Tourism
I currently work in wine production (winemaking), but I have worked in retail stores and tasting rooms. Talking to consumers to help them describe and find the styles of wine that they enjoy is one of my greatest pleasures.
Interests: My work history may look very diverse, but I like to think of myself as a professional explainer. As a teacher, as a forensic expert-witness providing testimony in court, and as a wine-professional guiding consumers in the making and tasting of wine, my passion has always been in talking to people and sharing my understanding with them.
