Interests: I'm currently in university, majoring in English secondary education. I'm hoping to specialize in working with immigrant children.

Previously, I was in the Navy for about nine years. I worked as an electrical maintenance technician in shipboard nuclear power plants as well as other shipboard maintenance, and spent time in administrative and supervisory, teaching, and management roles.

I've been learning Japanese for about four years, and I'm generally conversational. I read better than I speak or listen, but I'm working on it every day with the help of my own tutors.
