I worked as a driver for a logistics company contracted by Amazon. I loaded packages into a company van before delivering them based on a pre-determined shcedule and itinerary.

I taught english to students between the ages of 14 and 32 at the estación biológica Aguali in Matagalpa, Nicaragua. In addition to creating lesson plans and teaching, I assisted with composting and lombricomposting efforts at the station.

I helped to operate a commercial composting business in south Florida. I oversaw the rediversion of tons of food weekly away from landfills and into a thermophilic compost operation. I also raised composting earthworms for customers to purchase.

I worked for the University of Florida as a research assistant while I sought my master's degree. In addition to carrying out research projects, I assisted labmates, and helped with extension work.

I provided lab and greenhouse support in the National Germplasm Resources Laboratory at the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center.

I worked in various roles within the restaurant, including as a busboy, food runner, expo manager, and a host.

My co-intern and myself developed curricula and taught K-12 student in urban communities about relevant environmental phenomena and issues.

My adventures have taken me across the U.S. as well as to other countries such as Trinidad & Tobago, Spain (The Canary Islands), France, Iceland, Colombia, and more!

I have grown to love teaching, including teaching languages. It is highly rewarding for many reasons, especially for cultural exchange and meeting new people.
