During COVID, I helped the British Department of Education roll out their online tutoring scheme for schools of disadvantaged children. I provided extra support to children who had little support at a time when they weren't able to go to school.

I have undergone training to help refugees settle into British society in Lincoln, England. I helped online classes and covered both language points and British cultural awareness with pupils who came to England from unthinkable circumstances.

GCSE Volunteer

I volunteered as an English language and Literature tutor for a school in my local area. I worked with children who were borderline pass/fail. During my two years, I had a 100% pass rate, and it opened my eyes to the power of confidence.

兴趣: I am very involved in legal and political events, and I have a keen interest in Middle Eastern affairs - a specialism at university. I also study French, and I think a draw for me as your tutor is that I have been through the process of learning a second language - so I aim to help you avoid mistakes and enjoy the experience (let me take on the stress!). I adore being outside, especially in the mountains during skiing season. I have been a competitive swimmer my whole life so recently I have been trying to take up surfing. Communication with others is very important to me and as I have studied literature my whole life, I love storytelling. This extends to visual storytelling and the medium of photography. Having worked in France twice, I used my camera to tell the stories of my travels. Travelling has grown my passion for learning, meeting and communicating with others and English and French have helped me greatly with this because of their large reach. I have such a thrill from helping others and I can help others with English to enrich their lives and open up new opportunities!
