My first EFL teaching position was in Cuenca, Ecuador. This was where all my prior teaching and training came into practice!

I’m an American who has been living and teaching abroad since 2009. I’ve worked in Ecuador, Thailand—as well as Cambodia, where I currently reside. But I was also a school teacher in the USA.

Prior to teaching, I majored in archaeology in the beautiful American Southwest and was even an archaeologist! I’ve also worked for a company that shipped large animals around the world and a nonprofit internet service provider, so I’ve had some interesting jobs.

My passions are reading, writing, blogging, and podcasting. I enjoy being creative and communicating. Lastly, I’m a firm believer in the saying “your wealth is in your health”, as well as, “know thyself”.
