兴趣: Hello! I hope you choose me as your tutor.

I was raised in San Francisco, California. When I am in my home town, I love running its many hills.

For university, I attended UC Berkeley to study English Literature. I loved Berkeley's lively campus, historical buildings and, of course, the passionate students and professors. I chose to study English because I always seek to express myself clearly whether I'm speaking or writing.

I have a variety of other interests like making jewelry (beaded), painting, running, reading and watching films. I have two young children in their tweens, so I juggle a lot of strong emotions when I am not tutoring. I have a taste for Napoletan pizza and love any cuisine prepared with love!

I have life experience in a few different countries. For two years I lived in Malawi, East Africa. I also lived in Nicaragua for a few years, and now I reside in Panamà. I speak Italian high-intermediate, as well as intermediate-level Spanish. I wish I could claim fluency, but I get confused switching between Italian and Spanish.

I do know what it's like to struggle in a non-native language. There's so much to master: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Mastery simply takes time and so much practice. The key is not giving up! Fortunately for you, I am patient by nature and want to help you reach your goals of communicating better. Come practice English with me!
