Profession: I have worked as a lawyer for over 10 years and as a freelance translator of Japanese for over 30 years.
Interests: My interests are studying foreign languages, linguistics, reading fiction, travel, dabbling in Chinese philosophy and ping-pong. I have lived outside of Australia most of the time since 1983. I am now "trapped" in Jomtien Beach, Thailand due to the corona virus. It is not a bad place to be trapped! I have lived in Japan for about 7 years, China for 7 years and in Thailand for more than 20 years.
