兴趣: I was born in the UK and grew up in a big family. I went to university in Liverpool and loved the experience of being a student while living in a city I still consider to have some of the friendliest people in the world. I have always enjoyed communicating with others and I love learning from other people and especially people who are very different to myself. I started my teaching career in Japan and I loved the experience of living in a country so different from my own. I found teaching English while learning Japanese to be fascinating and I knew I had found a career for life. After a year in Japan and learning to speak Japanese quite well, I decided to continue my life abroad in Spain. After 3 years of teaching English in a private language school and improving my teaching skills and becoming fluent in Spanish, I moved to Colombia where I currently live in the capital city of Bogota. I met my wife here and we both enjoy speaking in both English and Spanish and we have lots of fun laughing at our mistakes and learning from each other every day. I enjoy teaching Colombian students at the British council, where I have learned new teaching methods from some of the best teachers I have observed in the classroom. In the past 2 years I have continued to teach students online and I have learned how to deliver classes virtually in a way that is both engaging and fun for students. In my personal life I enjoy music and films and walking is my favourite form of exercise. I am very happy here in Colombia and I look forward to improving as teacher in this career I am delighted to have.
